Ring Wars Heads to fostoria

Boxing and Kickboxing take center stage at venue 18

The lineup is set, the fighters are ready, and it’s time for war. CFS: Ring Wars takes place tonight at Venue 18 in Fostoria, Ohio. The stacked card features amateur kickboxing matchups and four pro boxing bouts.

Kickboxing Card

Ring Wars starts with a bang tonight as Josh Frazier takes on Gabe Harris. These are two talented fighters looking to continue their ascension in the amateur ranks. Both fighters had their hands raised via submission at Carnage Fight Series 4: Route 30 Rumble and will look to build off that momentum. Frazier will also look to avenge a close, split decision loss to Jay Bashaw in his last kickboxing bout at Flag City Fight Night. While the majority of Harris’ wins come via submission, he showed his striking ability in a TKO victory over Robbie Eggert at Ohio Combat League 28.

Frazier and Harris start off a great set of kickboxing matchups.

The next matchup is intriguing as it features a debuting fighter and one returning to the ring from a short hiatus. Tyrese Patterson looks to start his career off with a win against ‘Old School’ Preston Wiechart. Wiechart returns after just over a year away, with his last fight being a submission win in July of 2024. Preston also has experience in kickboxing, having fought previously in CFSKB3.

Will Patterson win his debut? Or will Wiechert return to the ring with a victory?

Wrapping up the kickboxing portion of the card, we may have our best matchup yet. Kaiden Hastings squares off against Nate Murphy in a fight you won’t want to miss. Hastings is a unique striker who will have the reach advantage, but Murphy has looked great in his last two MMA bouts, ending them both in the first round. Kickboxing experience also leans in Hastings’ favor, as he has two wins in the last year. This should be the perfect fight to get us ready for the pro-boxing main card!

Hasting and Murphy should end the kickboxing card with an exlamation point!

Pro Boxing Card

The main card features four must-see pro boxing fights. We’ll start with ‘The Mindless Hulk’ Dylan Budka taking on ‘The Ripper’ Zach Russ. Budka looks to maintain the momentum he’s built on a three-fight win streak that started this May. Russ is also riding high after a first-round TKO victory at Ohio Combat League 41.

Both fighters are putting their undefeated boxing records on the line in a bout that will surely have the Venue 18 crowd on their feet. Russ stands at a towering 6’7″ and will have quite the reach advantage in this one. However, Budka has more experience, including fights at the highest levels of MMA. The Mindless Hulk has his sights set on a 2026 return to the UFC, but The Ripper will be looking to put that redemption run on hold with a big win of his own.

Next, we have Marcelino Rangel taking on Marcus Decamp. Rangel was victorious against Logan Reynolds at Flag City Fight Night. Decamp has been very active this year, entering his sixth bout of 2025. We had the pleasure of speaking to both athletes on the last episode of Carnage Unleashed, and they are each ready to put on a show when the bell rings.

Check out the full interview here!

Decamp, a calm and calculated counter-puncher, said that he perceived Rangel as ‘a brawler’ and believes that his technical prowess will be the difference maker. Marcelino didn’t deny the ‘brawler’ label, and knows that his punching power could get him the win.

Rommell Toran takes on JD McNett in the Co-Main Event. This bout has been on our radar since July when these two were almost matched up for Flag City Fight Night. McNett is looking to bounce back from a tough loss in his pro boxing debut to Dylan Budka. Toran is also looking to get back in the win column after a decision loss to Sean Martin at Fight Night at the Gilliespie.

Toran and McNett will showcase their skills this Saturday night!

Our Main Event features two terrific fighters, Jeremy Balboa and Martin Tucker. Tucker is coming off a win against Ryan Venable at Bell vs. Hunter. He was also in an incredible Main Event clash with Kevin Walker at Flag City Fight Night, a bout which went Walker’s way via decision. A win against Balboa will make Tucker 3-1 in 2025, a solid record to bring into the new year.

Balboa is looking to get back into the win column after a hard-fought decision loss to Andre Moore at New Blood Old Glory Boxing Night. He’s the 10th-ranked pro featherweight in Ohio and hopes to climb the rankings with a big victory over the veteran Tucker.

Tucker and Balboa will bring the fireworks for the Ring Wars finale.

There you have it, folks! If you can’t make it to Venue 18 to watch the action, join us live on the Carnage Media pay-per-view! I’ll be ringside with Conner Smith calling all of the action! See you there!

Carnage Cageside 3: The King’s Crown

By Clayton Skulina As I sit down to think about Oktagon 78, I can’t get over the fact that this card is way more than meets the eye. Despite being headlined by the King of Germany himself, Christian Eckerlin, this card faced disaster after disaster 48 hours before first bell. And yet, somehow, this card…
