A new boxing series is set to debut in Northwest Ohio this month. On Friday, January 30th, Knuckle Up Boxing presents its first boxing event.
Founded in December 2025, Knuckle Up starts off an incredible weekend for fight fans as the boxing event is followed by EGO Fight Series on Saturday, January 31st.
While several talented amateurs are rumored to be on this card, there are currently two fights locked in, and both have the potential to be bona fide bangers.
Mitchell Harmon vs Simon Latif

The first bout announced features Mitchell Harmon taking on a debuting Simon Latif. Harmon represents Demolition Fight Team and has multiple wins in both MMA and Boxing. He won a hard-fought decision vs Eli Murphy at Carnage Fight Series 3 last year. Harmon is looking to bounce back from a tough loss to Austin Maddix at ECC Cage Fighting: Cage Wars 13. Mitchell is a technical striker and well-rounded fighter who should prove to be an excellent test for the debuting Latif.
Simon Latif fights out of Fightopia MMA and Smile Back Training Center. He’s a young fighter with the potential for a long career in combat sports. Latif is starting his career with a difficult opponent, which is great for his early development. Will he start it off with a win? We’ll find out in two weeks!
Bryson Jones vs Justin Seipel

The Main Event for this card is an incredible matchup. Bryson Jones and Justin ‘Sweet Hands’ Seipel take center stage in a title fight. These are two immensely talented fighters who are sure to get the crowd fired up.
Jones had a great 2025, going undefeated in MMA and Kickboxing. He had an impressive second-round KO win over Ryan Coronel at Flag City Fight Night and also defeated Blake Tackett for the 152 lb championship at Sniper Series 2. Jones is a smooth and efficient fighter looking to add more gold to his resume.
To quote my colleague Connor ‘Showtime’ Smith, Justin Seipel is a bad man. Smith, who also trains with Seipel, predicted the quick and impressive knockout of Gabe Fedele at Sniper Series 2, a bout that Seipel ended a minute into the first round. Justin has solid footwork and mechanics, which he pairs with a lethal right hand.
This should be a great matchup. Both fighters are technically sound with the ability to end a night quickly if either leaves an opening. A great Main Event for Knuckle Up’s first card!
Other rumored fighters
As the rest of the card fills out, I’ve heard rumors of several familiar faces getting added. Josh Frazier, Kaiden Hastings, Adam Harris, and Austin Roberts have all been linked to the event, along with Chase Boehmer, Braylon Jospefovosky, and James Gibson. Mark your calendars for January 30th and subscribe to our newsletter for more updates on this card and others coming in 2026!
More Boxing and MMA in 2026
Knuckle Up marks the start of an excellent year for combat sports in Ohio. EGO Fight Series is back the next day on January 31st with a stacked MMA card for EGO Fight Series 6: Reloaded. We also have CFS Ring Wars 2 on Valentine’s Day and AFP 5 on February 21st. Be on the lookout for another announcement from Carnage Fight Series, as they are rumored to be adding another event to their 2026 lineup in the spring!
